2012 State of the City Address

Mayor Anderson delivered the State of the City address on Friday the 10th, at the Inn at Spanish Head.

Good afternoon. Thank you to the Chamber for hosting this forum which provides me the opportunity to speak to the Citizens of Lincoln City. And it is so nice to see so many City employees in attendance. Thank you also to those others, who serve on your behalf as City Councilors; Noreikis, Ellingson, Ward, Quandt, Eggleton and Sprague. It continues to amaze me as to the amount of volunteer hours this community’s citizens provide. Thank you all for what you do for others.

The Lincoln City Parks and Recreation Department has four picnic shelters available for rent: Dorchester Park, Siletz Bay Park, Regatta Park, and Taft Waterfront Park. If you’re planning a reunion, birthday party, wedding reception, these are good outdoor alternatives. More complete descriptions of these Parks and their amenities are available at the Lincoln City Community Center. Taft Waterfront Park is $25.00 per hour. The remaining three are $10.00 per hour and all have a two hour minimum. A Facilities Use Agreement form will be required. Forms are also available at the Lincoln City Community Center front desk at 2150 NE Oar Place. Please contact the front desk at 541-994-2131 if you have any questions.
